How is it almost the end of 2018? It has been an incredible year for us here at Girl Friday IP.
We wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us this year. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to meet, connect and work with you all. Check the cheesy grins above.* Says it all really.
From over-eating, watching Love Actually for the millionth time, to sparking competitive feuds over backyard cricket - whatever your plans these holidays, our little family wishes yours a very Merry Christmas!

Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards 2018
Going against the gospel according to Gaga, Girl Friday IP doesn't live for the applause, applause, applause. But to be listed as a finalist in the Women in Law Awards this year, was 'pinch me' moment that someone was sitting up and taking notice of our story and efforts.
2 flights and 3 time zones later, I made it to the awards dinner in Melbourne. Didn't take home the gong on the night, but better still I got to celebrate with a few drinks in the brilliant company of some amazing women in the industry. Cheers ladies!*

Asian Patent Attorneys Association 2018 Conference
India is a challenging and contrasting place. It's modernising and growing at a ridiculous pace, while trying to break out of its time-worn culture and traditions. It was the perfect setting to introduce the Girl Friday IP brand and story to an international crowd. Initial curiosity gave way to a really warm welcome from our new international friends at APAA2018 in New Delhi. Was great to see some familiar faces too!

Paying it forward is one of the core values of The GFC - Girl Friday Culture.

International Trademark Association 2018 Conference
Was literally sleepless in Seattle at INTA2018 Conference earlier this year. Not surprising really given that it took about 26 hours to get there. Was so thankful that Seattle was home to some brilliant coffee, including the Original Starbucks. Riding a wave of jet lag and caffeine, I made some fantastic friends at my first international conference.
(Side bar: My geography skills are pretty poor at the best of times, but I only realised after this trip how bloody far Perth is from anywhere. A small price to pay for having some of the best beaches in the world)
